Dream Link – Women’s Networking

The group is called Dream Link and we’re a group of women growing our own businesses who meet twice a month over lunch.

• We are positive
• We are big thinkers and believe big things are possible for all of our businesses in 2011 and beyond
• We are abundant sowers and willing to first learn about others in the group to best help them grow their businesses, and believe our own growth will naturally follow
• We are givers and understand that the real definition of networking is to “build relationships for win-win.”  We’re not about “working the room and grabbing as many business cards as possible.”
• We are a valuable mix of industries, ages and experiences (both in business and life).
• We are committed to you and your time. As a member, you are encouraged to partake in critical “one-on-one meetings” with other members of the group to make your networking efforts most effective.

Come check us out!  We meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month at lunchtime at Tribeca Tavern in Raleigh.  Our meeting starts at 12pm, but we ask that you come around 11:45am.  This will give you time to check-in; to meet a couple of people; and to place your lunch order, if you choose to do so.

Our meetings include:

• Training: Expert training topics will include business systems; marketing and finding more customers; time management; etc.
• Marketing: Members and guests have the chance to provide a 2-minute introduction of themselves; their passion for their business; their products or services; upcoming sales and promotions they have going on; and how we can best refer customers to their business.
• Featured Business Owner: Official paid members will have the chance to be our “Featured Business Owner,” and in doing so they get to provide a 10-minute description of their products and services (5-minute presentation; 5-minutes of Q&A.)  They’re also given the opportunity to display and showcase their products/services on a separate table.
• Both Open and Formal Networking: We’re building a community of “women helping women”.  We understand some may be just checking us out.  We hope you’ll consider the value of membership.
• Lunch: Visitors and guests are invited to place a lunch order before the meeting begins and use the allotted meeting time to eat their lunch.

Paid Membership: We are not going to be an exclusive group, meaning that our membership is not limited to one person per industry. We believe in the abundance mentality and that there’s enough business to go around to help everyone! We’ll ensure the make-up of the group doesn’t get too lopsided. If it does, we may set a limit of members from particular industries.

It doesn’t cost anything to join the meet-up site or to visit the networking group as a guest.  To become an official paid member of Dream Link, you can receive your year-long membership for only $30.

The Format of the Meeting:

11:45am to 12pm: Welcome and Sign-in – Guests and visitors start checking in and meeting each other.  For those who will be ordering lunch, we ask that you place your order before the meeting officially begins at 12pm.  ( Click here to view their menu.)

12pm to 12:25pm: Introductions and Marketing – Guests and members will each provide a 2-minute introduction of themselves; their passion for their business; their products or services; upcoming sales and promotions they have going on; and how we can best refer customers to their business.

12:25pm to 12:35pm: Featured Business Owner –  Our Featured Business Owner will have the opportunity to show us their display table and share their 10-minute introduction of themselves and their business (5-minute presentation; 5-minutes of Q&A.)

12:35pm to 12:45pm: Expert Training – Professional Accountability Coach and owner of Dream Unlimited, Clare Luffman, will provide training and motivation focused on helping your businesses thrive.

12:45pm to 12:50pm: Announcements – We’ll share information about other upcoming networking opportunities; business opportunities, such as trade shows; etc.

12:50pm to 1pm: Testimonials - We’ll share how we’re supporting each others’ businesses.
